Yamama Cement Co reports 2% slip in 2Q revenues

Yamama Cement Co reported a 2.2 per cent slip in 2Q revenues to SAR161.7m (US$43.1m) in the 2Q20 when compared with SAR165.3m in the 2Q19. The company’s net profits declined 10 per cent YoY in 2Q20 to SAR47.6m from SAR53.2m in the 2Q19. Increasing general and administrative expenses as well as lower other revenues were key factors in the profit fall.

Yamama Cement reports full-year profit

Saudi Arabia-based Yamama Cement Co has posted full-year 2019 sales of SAR801.9m, representing a 53.9 per cent increase when compared with SAR521.2m in 2018. The company’s net profit after zakat and tax was SAR256.3m in 2019, when compared with a loss of SAR58.1m in the previous year.

Yamama Cement posts 3Q18 loss

Yamama Cement Co reported a drop in revenues in the first nine months of the year to SAR107.7m (US$28.7m) from SAR164.2m in 3Q17. The fall in sales was attributed to the steep price decline in the Saudi market. The 3Q results also showed a SAR46.4m net loss after zakat and tax. In 3Q17 the company reported a SAR29.2m net profit, according to Reuters.

Yamama Cement announces 53% profit fall in the 1Q18

Saudi Arabia-based Yamama Cement Co has announced a 53 per cent YoY fall in profit to SAR23.8m (US$6.35m) in the 1Q18. The producer attributed the decrease in profit to a drop in demand and a decline in other revenues, according to its statement to the Saudi Stock Exchange. However, Yamama Cement’s profit was a 40.7 per cent increase upon the result of the previous quarter.

Saudi Arabia’s Yamama Cement saw its net profits slide 51.3 per cent YoY in the 4Q17 to SAR16.9m (US$4.5m) from SAR34.8m. The company attributed the fall in profits to the drop in sales on the back of a contracting domestic market and to the rise in the allocated amount for Zakat by SAR5.7m. For the full year 2017, profits declined 69.5 per cent to SAR109.9m, from SAR357.9m in 2016.

Yamama Cement reported a 30.5 per cent YoY fall in sales to SAR164m (US$43.7m) in 3Q17 from SAR236m in 3Q16. The company’s net profit decreased 48.1 per cent from SAR56.3m to SAR29.2m over the same period.

Yamama Cement Co reported a 41 per cent YoY fall in net profits to SAR56.3m (US$15m) in the 3Q16 from SAR95.53m (US$25.47m). The decrease resulted from a higher cost of sold goods due to increases in fuel prices as well as those of fixed assets, according to a bourse filing.
